200 credits
Best first pass for MTHFR, COMT, folate, B-vitamin, and methylation context.
This picker is a planning aid. GenoSight reports are educational only, and every result still depends on your provider chip coverage and raw file quality.
A smaller first report is often better.
The highest-converting path is usually not the biggest report. It is the report that answers the question someone already has.
You have one urgent question
Start with the smallest report that answers it. MTHFR and COMT questions usually begin with Detox & Methylation; caffeine questions usually begin with Foods & Drinks.
You want to test the product
Use the 250-credit grant for a real report rather than browsing the whole library. A useful first report is the strongest signal that a paid plan is worth considering.
You want the full picture
Run a focused report first, review coverage and caveats, then expand into adjacent reports once you know the raw file has usable signal.
Pair the picker with a file check.
Report choice only matters if the uploaded file is the right format. If you are unsure whether you downloaded raw genotype data or a provider report, use the browser-only checker first.
Troubleshoot raw DNA uploadsThe picker does not need your DNA file.
The file checker runs locally in your browser.
The real upload happens only after sign-in and consent.
Report picker questions
Which GenoSight report should I run first?
The best first report depends on your question. Detox & Methylation is the usual starting point for MTHFR and COMT; Foods & Drinks for caffeine and diet questions; Sleep or Mental Wellbeing for sleep, stress, and mood; Heart Health or Metabolic Health for cardiometabolic questions.
Can I run a real report with the free credits?
Yes. New accounts receive 250 free credits with no card required. Many GenoSight reports cost 100-200 credits, so the free grant is sized for a real first report.
Why does Nutrition cost more than other reports?
Nutrition is broader and deeper than the focused starter reports, so it costs 350 credits. Many people should run a focused report first, then decide whether the deeper Nutrition report is worth it.
Does the picker diagnose anything?
No. The picker is only a planning aid for educational reports. GenoSight does not diagnose, prescribe, screen, or replace clinical genetic testing.
